HOBI4D, Jakarta – Mantan pemain Timnas Jerman, Mesut Ozil, mengaku ingin memperkuat Bali United jika suatu saat berkarier di Indonesia. 

Seolah merespons pernyataan Ozil, Bali United langsung gerak cepat. Negosiasi?

Belum. Tapi, CEO Bali United, Yabes Tanuri, mengadakan pertemuan dengan gelandang Fenerbahce itu di Jakarta, Jumat (27/5/2022). 

Melalui akun instagram resmi, Bali United mengunggah foto pertemuan dengan mantan pemain Real Madrid dan Arsenal itu.

Manajemen Bali United memberikan cenderamata untuk Ozil yang dibungkus kotak berwarna merah. 

Mesut Ozil melakukan kunjungan ke Indonesia atas undangan brand sepatu, Concave. Kunjungan ini menjadi yang pertama dilakukan Ozil ke Indonesia.

Masih Betah di Fenerbahce

Mesut Ozil sebelumnya mengaku ingin bermain di Bali United jika ada kesempatan menjajal sepak bola Indonesia.

Namun, untuk saat ini Mesut Ozil masih betah berkarier di Turki bersama Fenerbahce.

“Saya masih punya kontrak di Turki bersama Fenerbahce. Saya bahagia di sana,” kata Mesut Ozil saat mengunjungi Kantor Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif di Jakarta, Rabu (25/5/2022).

“Namun, jika ada kesempatan bermain di Indonesia saya ingin bermain di Bali United,” tegas pemain asal Jerman itu.

Salat Jumat di Masjid Istiqlal

Selain bertemu beberapa pihak, Mesut Ozil akhirnya kesampaian untuk menginjakkan kaki di Masjid Istiqlal, Jakarta.

Mantan pemain Timnas Jerman itu melaksanakan salat Jumat di masjid kebanggaan Indonesia itu, Jumat (27/5/2022) siang.

Ozil mengenakan kaus hitam dan memakai peci. Dandanan dia pun sangat Indonesia.

Kedatangan Ozil membuat seluruh jamaah di Masjid Istiqlal heboh. Ia pun mendapat pengawalan ketat dari area parkir menuju masjid.
