SEA Games 2021: Thailand Girang Asnawi Mangkualam Absen Bela Timnas Indonesia U-23

HOBI4D, Nam Dinh – Pelatih Timnas Thailand, Alexandre Polking, menyambut gembira absennya Asnawi Mangkualam di Timnas Indonesia U-23 pada semifinal SEA Games 2021, Kamis (19/5/2022). Menurut Polking, permainan Timnas U-23 akan berbeda tanpa Asnawi.

Timnas Indonesia U-23 dipastikan tak diperkuat Asnawi Mangkualam. Pemain Ansan Greeners FC itu mendapatkan sanksi akumulasi kartu kuning sehingga tak bisa bermain di semifinal SEA Games 2021.

“Indonesia memiliki Asnawi, seorang bek kanan yang bermain di Liga Asia. Dia adalah pemain yang bagus,” kata Polking.

“Akan tetapi, dia mendapatkan sanksi untuk pertandingan ini. Padahal, dia bisa membuat perbedaan,” ucap Polking.

Absennya Asnawi Mangkualam jelas menjadi kerugian buat Timnas Indonesia U-23. Pelatih Shin Tae-yong diyakini akan mengandalkan Rio Fahmi sebagai bek kanan menggantikan Asnawi Mangkualam.

Percaya kepada Rio Fahmi

Pelatih Shin Tae-yong menegaskan, percaya kepada Rio Fahmi untuk mengemban tugas sebagai bek kanan. Shin Tae-yong tak punya opsi lain di posisi tersebut pada Timnas Indonesia U-23.

“Memang sebagai pengganti Asnawi ada Rio Fahmi. Performanya ketika menghadapi Vietnam tidak terlalu baik,” ucap Shin Tae-yong.

“Namun, setelah itu penampilannya mulai menanjak. Saya beberapa kali memainkan Rio Fahmi pada babak kedua,” tegas pelatih asal Korea Selatan itu.

Tak Bikin Kesalahan

Alexandre Polking berharap timnya tidak melakukan kesalahan pada laga semifinal SEA Games 2021 melawan Timnas Indonesia U-23.

“Melakukan kesalahan membantu pemain menjadi dewasa. Kami telah membenahi mereka di tempat latihan, melalui rekaman pertandingan, dan menjalani pertandingan,” kata Alexandre Polking.

“Kesalahan adalah bagian dari pengembangan pemain. Namun, saya berharap pemain Thailand tidak membuat kesalahan pada pertandingan besok,” tegas pelatih asal Brasil itu.

Strategi Spesial

Pelatih asal Brasil itu juga menyambut antusias duel semifinal SEA Games 2021 melawan Timnas Indonesia U-23, Kamis (19/5/2022). Polking mengaku, akan menyiapkan strategi khusus untuk mengalahkan Timnas U-23.

“Penting bagi Thailand untuk memiliki kekuatan yang tangguh. Kami akan memainkan permainan yang bagus untuk menang karena ingin bermain di final,” kata Alexandre Polking.

“Saya akan terus memainkan gaya sendiri. Saya memprediksi itu akan menjadi pertandingan yang menarik dan luar biasa. Saya juga telah menyiapkan taktik spesial untuk bermain melawan Timnas Indonesia U-23,” ucapnya.
